Important to note: the autosplitter (including automatic timer start, splits, and timer end) will not work on any patch except for v1.15 with the Chinese language option (v1.15C), because it was made exclusively for Any% No Airswim, which is the only run that uses that patch. There are multiple v1.15 patches of the game because Konjak hates good naming conventions, so the title screen will only say v1.15 when it may be v1.15 without Chinese, used for Airswim runs, or v1.15C, used for No Airswim. The latter is the current, most updated version of the game, so unless you have downpatched, your game is most likely on the correct patch.

Iconoclasts v1.15

If you are new to speedrunning Iconoclasts, please read through this guide thoroughly to ensure that your timer is set up correctly, so it's easy to verify your runs and you can have accurate splits to compare against as well.**Important to note:** the autosplitter (including automatic timer start, splits, and timer end) will not work on any patch except for v1.15 with the Chinese language option (v1.15C), because it was made exclusively for Any% No Airswim, which is the only run that uses that patch. [Download link.]( ) [big]**(2)[/big]** Open LiveSplit. You should see a black box containing a timer with "0.00". Right click on it and select Edit Splits. [big]**(3)[/big]** In the Splits Editor, fill out your Game Name and Run Category. Create splits by using the Insert buttons on the left. Viewing runs from other players may be helpful in deciding which splits to create. [Example.]( )Something you may notice in the screenshot is that Start Timer at: is set to 2.25. This is very important as the automatic timer start actually begins that much later than it should, so this balances that out. If you are not using the automatic timer start, set it to 0.00 and start your timer when you begin a new file.[big]**(4)[/big]** After typing in Iconoclasts as the Game Name, the autosplitter should automatically be detected. Click Activate, and click on Settings. In this window, we check certain boxes for autosplits. Every time we reach one of the triggers that we want, LiveSplit will automatically move on to the next split for us. Therefore, for each split you added earlier, you need to check the corresponding boxes. Upon opening Settings, the boxes Start, Split, and Reset should be checked. Boss Rush Mode should be left unchecked if you are not running Boss Rush categories. For each split you made earlier, make sure its corresponding autosplit is also checked. When finished, hit OK to exit the Autosplitter and then OK to exit the Splits Editor. [Example.]( ) Please note that there are known issues with the Wrench 2 autosplit (it sometimes fails to split), and that the autosplitter by seanpr does not contain splits for Trinikey 3 or Shit skip (called Rocket Platform in the settings) that exist in my screenshots.If you would like to have these autosplits, download this autosplitter made by XeroGoFast [here.]( _but_better.asl) (direct download)To use it, add a Scriptable Auto Splitter in the Edit Layout menu, double click on it, click Browse... next to Script Path, and then select the autosplitter in your File Explorer. [Example.]( )The split "Midway" may work for a Black 2 skip autosplit, but there are known issues with it as well.[big]**(5)[/big]** Right click on your timer again and select Edit Layout this time. [big]**(6)[/big]** Feel free to skip this step if you want to design your own layout. In the Layout Editor, hit the + Button and add a Title, a Separator, Splits, Previous Segment, and Sum of Best Segments. When finished, hit OK to exit the Layout Editor. [Example.]( ) [big]**(7)[/big]** Right click on LiveSplit and under Compare Against, make sure it's comparing against Real Time. [big]**(8)[/big]** Right click on LiveSplit and create save files for both your Splits and Layout. It doesn't really matter where they're saved, but putting them in a sensible spot is, well, sensible. [big]**(9)[/big]** Right click on Livesplit and select Settings. Take note of the hotkeys and make changes if desired. Ensure that the Global Hotkeys option is checked, as this will allow you to use the hotkeys while your game is in focus. You will likely never need these hotkeys because the autosplitter does everything for you, but if it messes up for any reason you can manually fix the issue. If you run any category other than Any% No Airswim, these hotkeys will be very useful. [big]**(10)[/big]** It's time to test it out. With your LiveSplit open, start a new game of Iconoclasts. If your timer automatically begins a bit after the initial fade to black after starting a new game, you're good. Have fun on your run! That's it. If everything worked out, you may next decide to liven up your LiveSplit by making changes to the Layout Settings in the Layout Editor. Some also prefer to have a second timer to track their current segment time as well. You can do this by adding a Detailed Timer in the Layout Editor, then customizing it however you want.You may have also noticed that I have small icons for each split.
