The second week of March is here so that means that it is time to rank our favorite releases of the week. This weekly ranking will only include sneaker releases from March 08, 2020 – March 15, 2020. With 8 releases this week making the Caps2Kicks sneaker release calendar, it is the largest amount of entries we’ve had since its inception. Obviously that means that there was a lot of fire power for the week.

This week’s theme seemed to be a blast from the past with lots of designs being inspired from sneakers of the past. The nostalgia that these releases should bring will be felt throughout the week. The brand with the most releases, 4, on our exclusive calendar is Nike again which is no surprise. Adidas came in second with 2 releases to make the cut. Jordan and Reebok both ended the week with 1 entry. With so many entries Nike does seem like the favorite to win the #1 spot every week but will they win it this week?

#8 Release of the Week

Allen Iverson’s Reebook Question Mid
‘Black Toe’

Style ID: EF7599
Colorway: White/Black-Gold Metallic
Retail Price: $140
Release Date: March 12, 2020
Where to Buy: Reebok online 9pm PT & Finish Line
Resale Price Prediction: $150
At the bottom of the list we have Allen Iverson’s Reebok Question Mid ‘Black Toe’. For me, I’ve just never been a huge fan of Reebok. Even though the history for the sneaker is definitely there, I think it lacks in style. The colorway is also a solid and makes it easier for me to like but I don’t love the sneaker.

#7 Release of the Week

Call of Duty x Pusha T
Adidas Ozweego

Style ID: FW3028
Colorway: Black/Purple
Retail Price: $150
Release Date: March 11, 2020
Where to Buy: Adidas & select retailers
Resale Price Prediction: $170
The #7 spot of the week goes to Adidas for their Call of Duty x Pusha T x Ozweego collaboration. It’s a simple sneaker that makes up for it with the powerhouses that were involved with the design. I feel as though there could have been a lot more done with the collaborators. To me it just looks like another addition of the Ozweego line when there should have so many things they could have done to separate it from the rest. Call of Duty and Pusha T don’t really seem to leave their mark with this sneaker.

#6 Release of the Week

Nike React Vision
‘Desert Oasis’

Style ID: CD4373 001
Colorway: Light Bone/Blue-Red
Retail Price: $140
Release Date: March 12, 2020
Where to Buy: Nike SNKRS & select national retailers like Footlocker
Resale Price Prediction: $140
In the #6 spot we have the Nike React Vision ‘Desert Oasis’. This release is probably my favorite colorway for the week. It’s a great design and one that won’t break. It is definitely my favorite running sneaker of the year so far. Don’t expect this release so sell out on release day. Honestly, don’t expect there to be a big hype on release day either. Running sneakers have a history of underwhelming releases. But for running sneaker releases, the win comes in the long game.

#5 Release of the Week

Nike LeBron 17 Low

Style ID: CD5007 001
Colorway: Black/University Red-Dark Grey
Retail Price: $170
Release Date: March 15, 2020
Where to Buy: Nike SNKRS & Footlocker & many retailers nationwide
Resale Price Prediction: $225
At #5 we have the Nike LeBron 17 Low ‘Bred’. The colorway on its own makes it one of the best releases of the week. The decision to make this colorway into a low cut for the LeBron 17 was genius. The high top would have definitely looked too bulky in this colorway but it fits the low top perfectly. This sneaker will be available at many national retailers but expect there to be a high demand for this sneaker and low supply. This could very well sell out on release day.

#4 Release of the Week

Nike SB Dunk Low

Style ID: CD2563 002
Colorway: Neutral Grey/Kumquat-Desert Ochre
Retail Price: $100
Release Date: March 14, 2020
Where to Buy: Select Nike SB shops (See Full Store List Here)
Resale Price Prediction: $320
At #4 we have the Nike SB Dunk Low ‘Safari’. It is difficult to follow up the Travis Scott release but this sneaker is a worthy successor. ‘Safari’ relies heavily on the nostalgia feeling to get its point across. Yeah the style is very unique and fits the sneaker well but the story behind it is what’s really getting people interested. ‘Safari’ was originally released as an Air Max sneaker all the way back in 2002. There is definitely going to be a big demand for this release so expect it to sell out very quickly.

#3 Release of the Week

Adidas Yeezy Boost 350 V2
‘Desert Sage’

Style ID: FX9035
Colorway: Desert Sage/Desert Sage-Desert Sage
Retail Price: $220
Release Date: March 14, 2020
Where to Buy: Adidas & Yeezy Supply &  & select retailers
Resale Price Prediction: $290
The Adidas Yeezy Boost 350 V2 ‘Desert Sage’ barely beat out the Nike SB Dunk Low ‘Safari’ for the #3 spot. At the end of the day we liked the ‘Desert Sage’ more for its simplicity. Being a Yeezy, expect this sneaker to sell out within the hour and expect the resale value to be close to the $300 mark. The thing that I hate about this release the most is the orange heel lining but that seems to be what sneakerheads love the most.

#2 Release of the Week

Air Jordan 1 Zoom
‘Racer Blue’

Style ID: CK6637 104
Colorway: White/Racer Blue-White
Retail Price: $175
Release Date: March 14, 2020
Where to Buy: Nike SNKRS & select retailers that have not been confirmed yet
Resale Price Prediction: $225
For the #2 spot we went with the Air Jordan 1 Zoom ‘Racer Blue’ release. The only thing that kept this release from taking the top spot is the patent finish on the upper. If the finish would have been a simple leather then this definitely would have been our #1. But the patent just makes it appear cheap and tacky even though it really isn’t. I still love the sneaker and plan on buying it but that’s one thing I would have changed.

#1 Release of the Week

Sacai x Nike LDV Waffle
‘Black Nylon’ & ‘White Nylon’

Style ID: BV0073 002 Black Nylon / BV0073 101 White Nylon
Colorway: Black/Black – White/White
Retail Price: $160
Release Date: March 10, 2020
Where to Buy: Nike SNKRS 7am PT/10am ET
Resale Price Prediciton: $400
And the winner for the best sneaker release of March 08, 2020 – March 15, 2020 is the Sacai x Nike LDV Waffle ‘Black Nylon’ & ‘White Nylon’. It’s one thing to have one great sneaker release but releasing two of them in one go deserves the top spot. It is one of the more unique designs we’ve seen this year.Even though the colorways are simple, it works well to bring out the design of the sneakers. This release is layered with style and soul.
