Is Riccardo Tisci, Givenchy’s creative director, teaming up with Nike for another collaboration?  Based on Tisci’s  Instagram post over the weekend, we’re guessing and hoping so!  The vintage photo shows a young Sylvester Stallone sporting a baby blue Nike tank and is captioned, “#coomingsoon @nike @nikelab #love #stallone.”

This isn’t the first time both brands have worked together.  In 2014, Tisci and Nike paired up for their initial collaboration in which Tisci re-designed the classic Air Force 1 in four various heights.  The Air Force 1 was offered in low, mid, hi, and knee-high silhouettes and released in three colorways: white, black, and beige.  The collection brought together sneakerheads and fashionistas with the perfect combination of creative design and use of high quality materials.    The line was priced between $240 to $340, so we expect the next round to be sold at a similar price point.

Tisci has always loved the Nike brand, specifically Air Force 1s.  His love for the brand makes the collaboration all the more exciting, as he’s truly inspired and invested in the shoes he’s creating.  He told Complex mag, “…I have been obsessed with Nike. I’ve been wearing Air Force 1s for 15 years. It’s always been the same. The white ones. When people take a picture of me I almost always have on the same thing. A black T-shirt, black trousers, and white Nike shoes. This collaboration is something that to me, is not work, it’s more of a celebration of life, a celebration of something that I love, respect, and believe in.”  While Nike has yet to officially comment or release any further information on the project, we can only wait.  Don’t forget to follow our blog to stay up to date on the latest sneaker news!
