Serena Williams proves she’s still a force to be reckoned with as she nabs her 5th title as champion of the women’s U.S. Open!In a strenuously competitive match on Sunday, the 31-year-old defending champ battled 24-year-old Victoria Azarenka of Belarus for the title. Held at the Arthur Ashe Stadium within the Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in New York, the match had everyone at the edge of their seats, with many neck-and-neck moments between the 2 competitors. Though there were times where she had some questionable moments, with much passion and relentless vigor, Williams finished strong and walked away with the win. While this is William’s 5th title as leading lady of the U.S. Open, this also marks her 17th overall major title in her career–causing her to rank 6th among all-time tennis greats.

Major congrats Serena!
