A comparison of the displacement and traction stress of the subgrade obtained by VEROAD with those obtained by BISAR shows that the values are consistent (see Fig. 5). Hence, although VEROAD is a more detailed analysis tool, it is also easily used. The results obtained by BISAR with the parameter settings used in this paper are good, and this software is a useful tool for designing and analyzing engineering structures.
The Detail Table results provide the horizontal and normal strains for the subgrade and pavement in the examination area at each calculation point and their values also confirm the consistency of the values obtained by the two different software tools (see Fig. 6). Although the strains obtained by BISAR are a little larger than those obtained by VEROAD, the strains are also of the same order of magnitude. This shows that the models and settings of each software are appropriate.
We present the first part of this article, which considers the fundamental aspects of a possible future application of the model. Indices for project analysis, and the relationship between deflection and load are briefly discussed. The second part of the article focuses on the estimation of layer moduli from the UD/SOS field data. The UD/SOS beam spans (located in the southeastern United States) cover approximately a 3820 km2 zone. They are data collected from 1996 through 2000. The data includes 2822 probes for the UD/SOS field locations. The sensors have a sensitivity range of 10 mrad to 10 mm. They are DAm-m calibrated for load and act in cooperation with the EPSILON modules. Information is available for UD/SOS projects in the eastern United States. UD/SOS files are used to extract data such as point records of deflections and UD/SOS layers. The UD/SOS site is developed by the University of Florida. The other software used in this work is the Bisar 30 Shell software. The software calculates the deflection of various components of the structure in response to applied load. 3d9ccd7d82
