SHIEKH EVENTS: JOSH CHILDRESS’ “KICKS ‘N FLICKS”

This season is all about giving, and what better way to get into the Christmas spirit than host Josh Childress’ “Kicks ‘N Flicks.”

Over the weekend, we linked up with NBA athlete Josh Childress to host “Kicks ‘N Flicks.”

Held at the Shiekh Shoes Community Center in Compton, CA, the top 50 students from Tommorrow’s Aeronautical Museum got the chance to pick out a free pair of kicks–any brand, any style, any price. We also donated 50 basketballs that were all hand autographed by Childress.

Comedian Alex Thomas came through to show his support and Fox 11 News documented the event and highlighted Childress’ efforts to give back to the community he grew up in.

Students also took home gift bags full of school supplies and later enjoyed a movie.
