SHIEKH SHOES X THE ROBIN HOOD PROJECT CELEBRITY BOWLING FUNDRAISER

We love giving back! Check out how we partnered up with The Game’s foundation to help a family in need. It all started in November of last year, when The Game made a pledge to spend $1 million of his own money to bring help to those who needed it most. And since its inception, his foundation, The Robin Hood Project, has helped raised thousands of dollars to bring hope to the lives of many families and individuals–from young widows struggling to care for their children to the homeless.

After hearing the news of a fiery car crash last week in Los Angeles’ Crenshaw District that claimed the lives of three young adults, The Robin Hood Project immediately stepped in to help. One of the victims was Brittney Nickerson, a 23-year-old mother who was trapped inside the vehicle. She and three others were headed to an after-hours party when the driver lost control, causing the Escalade they were in to crash into a tree and burst into flames. According to ABC local news, “neighbors say they heard loud music, screeching tires and a loud boom. When they ran outside, they saw the SUV on fire.”

Over the weekend, we partnered with The Game to host a charity bowling tournament to raise money for Brittney’s family. Held at Pinz Bowling Center in Studio City, the L.A-bred rapper personally received donations from attendees, with a box in-hand that was decorated by Brittney’s 4-year old daughter, Aaliyah. And by the end of the night, The Game raised over $6,600 toward helping Brittney’s sister, Lauren Lewis, as she takes on the noble responsibility of raising Aaliyah. “I have a daughter,” he said on his Instagram regarding the tragedy, “and I couldn’t imagine trying to get her through the loss of her mother, so this story touched my heart and I acted quickly. This baby will never see her mommy again and that alone just rips my heart out, being that her and my daughter are around the same age…I couldn’t begin to imagine how that would effect her.”

Khloe Kardashian along with her BFF actress Malika Haqq and little sisters Kylie and Kendall Jenner came to show their support.

Too Short, Ray J, YMCMB’s Lil’ Twist, Brooke Valentine (singer and new cast member of Love & Hip Hop LA), and Roscoe Dash were among many of the famous faces who came through to show their love for The Robin Hood Project.

The Game’s publicist Echo Hattix was also in attendance, celebrating her birthday.

Jackie Christie of VH1’s “Basketball Wives L.A” grabbed some Shiekh Shoes gear from the VIP gifting suite, along with her friends, actresses Sweetie Sherrie and Sunday Carter.

4-year old pro skater Lil’ Rome Diddy came through as well. The talented skateboarder recently signed to Floyd Mayweather’s “Money Team” late last year.

We love The Game’s heart to reach out to the community and his urgency to bring hope to those who are facing some of the darkest moments of their lives.
