Fabulous Footwear: The Fur Slide by Fenty
Seven months ago, Rihanna debuted some fabulous footwear on the cover of The FADER magazine’s 100th issue. Since then, she’s traveled the world; showing off the comfy-chic slippers, here, there, and everywhere. Pretty soon…they can be all yours! This week, PUMA and the Women’s Creative Director herself, announced the release of the fashion-forward sandals in their ongoing collaboration. The Fenty Fur Slide, designed by Rihanna, will drop April 22! If RiRi’s previous PUMA launches are any indication of how well the Slides will sell, you’ll want to grab your own pair fast! Rihanna continues to elevate classic shoe designs as she’s done with The Creeper and The Trainer. The Creeper paired a stacked platform sole with the signature look of PUMA’s comfortable sneakers. The Trainer then followed; a lace-less shoe featuring a high-rise tongue and extended ankle collar, making for a unique silhouette. Now, The Fenty Fur Slide sandals have a Bad Gal twist of their own. Rihanna’s version features a faux fur strap with smooth satin foam backing. An embroidered PUMA logo across the top completes the look. On the April 22nd launch, The Fenty Fur Slide will be released in a trio of colors: black, white, and shell. A pair is expected to cost around $80, which isn’t bad, considering Rihanna “designed these slides with comfort and style in mind, having to travel extensively as part of her busy lifestyle,” via press release.

The Fenty Fur Slide comes just in time for the rest of spring and all of summer! Another press release advises, the fur sandal “is great to rock with socks or without, for the poolside or hanging around the city.” Style icon, Rihanna, has been spotted wearing hers with dresses, active-wear, and lounge-wear and everything in between. Really….there are endless ways to style them; it’s all up to you and your mood!
