Nike Basketball gets into the holiday spirit with its drool-worthy 2013 Christmas pack!
If there’s any reason to extend your Christmas list to include a few more items, this is it. Since 2010, Nike has made a tradition out of releasing exclusive kicks as part of its signature Christmas sneaker collection. This year, the LeBron 11s, Kobe 8 System SS and KD 6s get some winter wonderland treatment. And to make this pack all the more merry and bright, each sneaker is constructed with unique logo lacelocks that can also be used as tree ornaments.
Although we highly doubt that it’ll ever snow in Miami, we can definitely dream, thanks to these LeBron 11s. The basketball sneaker’s futuristic, architectural design normally has a armor vibe to it; but this go around, the minty green base and snowflake-royal palm combo give them a glacier-like look. (Think Mr. Freeze with swag.)
The Kobe 8 System SS stays true to its Black Mamba style with an icy, reptilian scale upper. Boasting a unique interpretation of shedding snake skin, these Kobe 8s have aggressively structured translucent scales that keep in line with the traditional components of the sneaker and also have a cool winter feel about them. Though we’re definitely looking forward to the debut of the Kobe 9 Elite in February of next year, these will hold us over until then.
Kevin Durant’s signature kicks definitely look a lot like Christmas, with their bright red upper that shines like metallic wrapping paper. Finished with sparkling hints of gold, pops of mint, and a Christmas plaid interior, the KD VI is the perfect sneaker to rock this holiday season.
