Nike Sportswear takes a trip to East Asia with the “Year of the Horse” women’s Blazers. Inspired by the Chinese zodiac calendar, the all-new women’s Blazer Mids take on a unique look with their 2014 “Year of the Horse” Collection. These kicks fall right in line with Nike’s previous zodiac-inspired New Year releases, and we are definitely liking what we see.
According to Chinese tradition, the spirit of the horse is thought to represent the people’s ethos–making ceaseless efforts to improve themselves. Those whose birthday’s fall in line with the horoscope are thought to be energetic, bright, warm-hearted, intelligent and able. These YOTD edition Blazers definitely fit the bill of boldness with their Metallic Gold and Gym Red color makeup. They feature the YOTD logo at the tongue, Chinese-reminiscent graphic prints throughout the silk-like textile upper, and are finished off with a rubber outsole with a textured woven basket look to it.
