For the 16th year, The Source magazine brings its Power 30 issue, featuring “who really matters, who’s really moving and shaking the [hip-hop] industry.” This year, G.O.O.D Music’s Big Sean naps the cover spot for the special edition issue. It looks as though the mag was inspired by NBA legend Michael Jordan, as Sean sports a look remnicent of Jordan’s classic portrait that captured him rocking all 6 of his championship rings gained throughout his basketball career.
The 25-year-old Detroit native has made his mark in the hip-hop game and is showing no signs of slowing down, with his sophomore album Hall Of Fame hitting stores today. In his featured interview with the magazine, Big Sean leaves no topic untouched, dishing on everything from crafting the perfect album and his love life to his rift with Ludacris and much more.
For those of you who are New Yorkers, The Source‘s annual “Power 30” issue hits newsstands in NYC on Thursday, August 29th, and goes nationwide Tuesday, September 3rd. In the meantime, you can peep some behind the scenes footage below!
