CELEB NEWS: TYGA TO OPEN LAST KINGS STORE IN LOS ANGELES

This month, L.A. rapper Tyga will  give his hometown some Last Kings flavor.

Tyga’s clothing line, Last Kings, has been a huge hit amongst his fans and hip-hop heads alike. For years, the “Rack City” rapper could be seen sporting samples of his clothing line both on and off the stage, and it wasn’t long before his fans craved for it. Now, the brand has sped full-throttle into the fashion world, and is now the hottest commodity on the streets. From to Khloe Kardashian to Honey Cocaine, Last Kings is a favorite of celebrities as well. And with the fast-approaching debut of the first Last Kings store on L.A’s infamous Melrose Ave, we’re sure this new venture will be the launchpad to a successful 2014.

“Last Kings is about carrying yourself like royalty,” Tyga told The Coveteur in a recent interview. “What we’re doing is not some artist attaching his name to some screenprinted shirts. We’re really running a warehouse with cut-and-sew products. Even our t-shirts are custom silhouettes—not blanks. We have everything from high quality denim to socks. So it’s the real deal. Our customers are the trendsetters, not necessarily the people who are just buying the stuff they see in the mall. They are the people who like streetwear and high fashion and want to maintain some individuality.”

Scheduled for February 15, Tyga will be bringing Last Kings to Angelenos in a whole new way with the grand opening of his first flagship store. But according to the 24-year-old entrepreneur, Los Angeles won’t be the only city laced in Last Kings gear, as he and his team are already in talks about expanding to other cities.

We can’t wait to see what Tyga has up his sleeve with his new store and collection. Word on the street is Tyga is hosting a grand opening event on February 22 at 7829 Melrose Avenue in Los Angeles, beginning at 12pm. There, you can meet the rapper/designer for yourself!
