DRAKE LANDS A DEAL WITH JORDAN BRAND
There’s been a whole lot of buzz surrounding the Nike/Jordan camp. And things just got more interesting with the brand bringing Drake aboard Team Jordan.
If you’ve been around the last few weeks, you’d know that Kanye West’s recent rants–or “streams of consciousness”–against Nike have gone viral across the blogosphere. Yet when one bridge is burned, another one is built, which is evident with Drake’s recent announcement that he’s landed a collaboration deal with Jordan Brand.
The Nothing Was The Same emcee revealed his new deal to fans on the Portland stop of his “Would You Like A Tour” show this past Tuesday. He told the crowd:
“Today also happens to be one of the best days of my life. Growing up, we all idolized this guy, who goes by the name of Michael Jordan. So today, I came to Portland and I officially became inducted into the Team Jordan family. And it is a family, and I don’t take that word lightly.”
