Just recently the a different silhouette for the NBA All Star Weekend nicknamed ‘Red Cement’. However, that release was a definite flop. The ‘Red Cement’ is still available at many retailers and doesn’t look like they’ll be going anywhere anytime soon. Jordan is hoping for a better release in the ‘UNC’ silhouette and the hype seems to point that a bounceback is in the making. Just in time for March Madness too!

The Air Jordan 3 Retro ‘UNC’ seems to be a highly anticipated fan favorite release. The sneaker had only been released as a Player Exclusive sneaker back when it first came out. Only UNC athletes and staff were given pairs of these highly exclusive sneakers.With the Air Jordan 3 Retro ‘UNC’ release, there is a lot of history that comes with it. Considered one of the nicest colorways to grace the Air Jordan 3 Retro silhouette, a lot of sneakerheads are left with a great desire to buy the sneaker.
This 2020 retail release seems to be a shot for shot replicate of the Player Exclusive release with only minimal differences. The biggest one of them all is that the UNC branding on the tongue has been replaced by the Jordan Jumpman logo. However, there are still hints of the original with the navy lining around the embroidered Jumpman logo. There is also expected downgrades in the construction and material used for the sneaker. The leather has reportedly been downgraded in quality but not so much as to cause concern.
All in all, the slight differences between the PE release and the general retail release were definitely expected and should not cause alarm. The Air Jordan 3 Retro ‘UNC’ is absolutely one of the more stylish 3’s from the collection so expect the demand to be high. The ‘Red Cement’ was supposed to be a big release as well but we think it just lacked style which really affected it’s release.
