Adidas Originals takes us back in time with its latest reissuing of the Adidas Metro Attitude Hi “Knicks.” All-white “Shelltoes” weren’t the only Adidas kicks on the scene in the ’80s. NBA Hall of Famer Patrick Ewing created a whole lot of buzz with his signature shoe, the Adidas Metro Attitude High. Although you may recognize the bulky, high top Three Stripes as the base of several of Jeremy Scott’s collaborations with the brand, Adidas re-releases the sneakers in their original form.
The shoe that has come to represent a city and its passion for basketball has finally made its return. It’s no coincidence that the shoe called the Attitude found its home in NYC. Beyond the surface of the Knicks connection lies a shoe and a city that are defined by their trademark attitude.
Fitted in classic New York Knicks form, the Adidas Metro Attitude Hi still has the same character that made it so popular more than two decades ago. Dressed in leather, the high top kicks are fitted with a White upper with accents of Royal-esque blue and Orange.
