We love old school sneakers, and evidently Adidas does too with its re-release of the Top Ten Hi. The iconic Top Ten Hi was the premier basketball shoe of its time. Though it was designed for the top ten of the best players of the day, it was also worn by the best players at the highest level of competition worldwide. With the launch of these kicks in the late ’70s and the skyrocketing success of Adidas basketball by the late 80s, the Top Ten shoe model established the Three Stripes as a mark of comfort and quality. A revolution in comfort, and far more advanced than its competitors, the Top Ten Hi shoe model changed the direction of sneakers forever.
Now with its 2014 reintroduction to a new age of sneaker lovers, the Adidas Top Tens appeal to hip-hop heads, sports fans and creative types alike, which makes perfect sense why the brand nabbed Detroit’s very own Danny Brown to showcase the eclectic and cool spirit of these classic kicks.
