Today, Nike Sportswear revamps the Air Force 1 low and releases it as part of the Gary Payton-inspired “Glove Pack.”
Last month, basketball legend Gary Payton was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame. And to pay homage to the great athlete, Nike releases this fly Air Force 1 Low as part of “The Glove Pack,” which released alongside the Peyton’s signature Nike Air Zoom Flight.
Also boasting “The Glove” nickname of Payton’s signature Zoom Flight shoe, the Air Force 1 Lows offer the same level of comfortability. These special edition Air Forces feature a leather-textile combination throughout the upper, contrasting white accents at the front and inner sides, and have a “glove” overlay at the center. For versatility, the center portion can be worn zipped up or can be unzipped to reveal the dope lace detailing that lies beneath. Though fitted in the ’98 original Air Zoom Flight’s black and white color scheme, these Air Forces also have just the right amount of University Red to make them stand out. And to finish things off, you can spot Peyton’s classic jersey number, 20, embroidered at the heel.
