While many of us are still stuffing our faces with scrumptious Thanksgiving leftovers, we have one more thing that needs to be added to our list of what we’re grateful for: the newly-released Nike Air Penny 5s!
Anfernee “Penny” Hardaway quickly became the next promising NBA player for Nike to collab with once Michael Jordan left the league in pursuit of a baseball career back in the 90s. And ever since, the brand’s decision to create a line of signature kicks with the Orlando Magic star was clearly a smart one. The Nike Air Penny has gained much popularity over the years and ranks high among sneakerheads as classics. This fall, Nike keeps the legacy alive with the latest renditions of the Nike Air Penny 5.
The all-new styles of the men’s basketball sneaker go the eclectic route with their non-traditional Penny colorways. The “Lil’ Penny” style comes with an Atomic Red/Black/White makeup, while the “Camo” edition is laced in Black Spruce/Black/Volt. The Nike Air Penny 5s are perfectly designed for action on the court and on the streets. The kicks maintain the same signature look that made us fans in the first place, with their foamposite wave overlay throughout the leather/synthetic/textile upper. They also have a dynamic lacing system for a premium fit, pull tabs for easy on and off, and are embedded with visible Air-Sole cushioning and a rubber outsole for standout style and impact protection.
The “Lil’ Penny” is riddled with speckled detailing throughout the sneaker’s upper and outsole, while the “Camo” version boasts camouflage graphics instead.
While the “Camo” style of the Nike Air Penny 5 is now available at most of our stores, the “Lil’ Penny” is available at the following select Shiekh Shoes locations, so head to a store near you to cop these new classics!
