THIS JUST IN! NIKE AIR ZOOM FLIGHT “THE GLOVE”
Today marks the re-release of the legendary Gary Payton’s signature sneaker, the Nike Air Zoom Flight “The Glove.”
With Payton’s recent induction into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame, Nike seems to have perfect timing in its relaunch of the great basketball player’s signature kicks. As one of the sneakers featured in the new Nike “Glove Pack”–the other being the Air Force 1 Low Comfort LW GP SIG–the Air Zoom Flights live up to their nickname.
Featuring a glove-inspired outer layer, these sneakers have a versatility about them that is rare. They can either be worn with the “glove” textile outer covering the shoe–which boasts a clean look with an oversized Nike swoosh–or you can switch things up by unzipping the vamp to reveal the lace-detailing that lies beneath. Though in their original black and white color scheme, we’re especially feeling the bright pops of University Red in the flame-inspired detailing at the sides.
