When a sneaker has been off the market for 18 years, you’d think people would’ve forgotten about it long ago. But with the re-release of the Reebok Shaqnosis this summer, the buzz surrounding them is as though they’ve never left. And to add to the retro bandwagon, the newly revamped Reebok Shaqnosis “Escape From LA” hits Shiekh Shoes today!
Originally spotted back in 1995, Shaquille O’Neal’s signature sneaker was a hit on and off the court. Yet after his 1995-1996 season with the Orlando Magic, he headed over to the Los Angeles Lakers as a free agent and that’s the last we saw of the Shaqnosis–or so we thought. Now in a brand new colorway of Black/Purple/Yellow/Red, the newest “Escape From LA” rendition of the Shaqnosis pays homage to Shaq’s infamous career with the Lakers and the Miami Heat.
The iconic basketball sneakers feature Black patent leather ellipses with a snakeskin pattern throughout the upper and Red, Purple and Yellow splattered paint graphics in between. They’re equipped with an all-black lacing system, Reebok logo in Red at the side, a chunky midsole and Purple rubber outsole.
